Commissioned for the inaugural Copenhagen Architecture Biennial, Barn Again is an experimental, new build pavilion demonstrating that 120 year old disused Norwegian barn timber can interact with pioneering digital tools to make an entirely new structure.

Each beam carries its own history: weathered surfaces, old joinery, and connection details remain visible, layered with new incisions and precise joints to usher the timber into its next life. Stacked and tapering towards a pointed form, the pavilion balances openness and intimacy, with sheltered seating and a kiosk for events throughout the Biennale.
